Team Shredder Book of the Month Club

Team Shredder Press, 142 pages, 60ยข

Seamonkey looks outward, and then inward, while pondering the cycles of life--and death--in this thrilling science fiction/tell-all/coming of age story about a man and her self.

Some excerpts:

Seamonkey: "The Terrible Beauty of 3 monarch chrysallii what we brung in from the fields...
...One hatched the other day and N brought him upstairs on her finger--he was all sleepy and sluggish like me! Then she put him in the zinnias, because I--while blown. the. fuck. away.--still couldn't get outta bed that early. We even saw him SHAKE HIS CATERPILLAR COAT AWAY and reveal the doughy chrysallis inside! Then he becomes red goo inside the C for only 10 days, then he emerges as a butterfly, then he ponces around on my zinnias for a while, then FOR NO REASON he flies down to Mehico avec his confreres and they gather by the billions in trees for the winter!"

"Plus (here are) some crazy etruscan tombs just for fun!"

Seamonkey, Team Philosopher of Team Shredder, once again shows us the way to ourselves.

I was once a cozy pod and then red goo. Soon I must fly 3,000 miles with my friends because we are depressed by the cold and dark.

Aquatic Operas

Aquatic Operas, in this round consisting of Juliana Snapper and Jeanine Oleson, did a workshop/laboratory first run of their new piece in Palm Springs this summer.
There were about 15-20 of us in the pool, who made up a kind of chorus of individuals, and Juliana, who did her solo but interactive soprano singing. Jeanine circled the perimeter of the pool, guiding and directing everybody through the shapes and sections of the piece. In this excerpt, Juliana is singing through the floating snorkelabra, made by Jeanine, and the rest of us are using regular snorkels.

What I Did at Summer Camp, otherwise known as Art Camp/ADD Camp:

an essay in words and pictures.

Gree c's road to...

her house, with Buster the dog,

and studio. OKAAY?

The excellent lake, where we later had a cookout and moonlight swim with a group of homosexual aesthetes from the big city. Tres sophisticat.

Gree c and gandi seem to have gone feral this summer, but that is a fond observation, not a judgement.

Gandi's hooked on fishing!

I kid you not.

Sitting down to yet another gourmet dinner prepared by gandi. I was like whoa, every day.

At the swimmin' hole, where we went with gree c's excellent sister Janice. This icy water was like 52 degrees, literally, but extremely healin' for what ailed the people.

At the farmer's market
where we saw this 89 year old man playing the accordian, and then packing it up into the trunk of his cherry, purple muscle car while the ladies looked on.

Waking up is hard to do. Could my entire haid be any puffier?

gree c, ruler of the uniberse.

Oh and here is the adorable baby black bear that came to visit every day. You can't see them, but this is right next to gandi's drum kit and electric guitar area, where we choad rocked every day, and gree c's studio where major butt gets kicked regularly.
