Just Because

Angela Dufresne, The Two Ladies in the Jewelry Store from Fassbinder's 'Veronika Voss' - AKA "The Oath" 2007. Oil on canvas. 54" X 84"

I was happy to view 2 paintings by Angela Dufresne and a drawing by Dawn Clements at Kinkead Contemporary in Los Angeles the other night. Both artists did an excellent job with physical and psychic space: Dawn, with her density and intensity of rhythmic lines, and highly temporal passages from section to section in her large drawing, and Angela with her ghostlike markings, extreme directional color washes, and CinemaScope aspect ratio scale.
Well played, peoples.

NICE! I would love to see them. Gandi's got that Cinemascope action.

Yeah, they were nice, peeds. Not to mention the facial expressions and hand gestures on the ladies, also excellent.
What sucks is that I'm awake, after about 3 glasses too many of wine last night, and that I now have to drive 100+ miles to San Diego to get with the selfish little takers. You know that feeling when you're typing, or bending over the sink, and you're a lil' dizzy-ish?

Capppy, I don'y know when you wrote that comment, but are you better now? It sucks that you have to commute. I am trying to gear up for yoga this morning. I am getting old and creaky.

Drunkypants is better now, thanks peeds. Drunkypants had NOTHING to give to the takers that day (Saturday,) and for that she can only blame herself. Good job, choad.
Anyway, I'm so down with yoga, though am not currently doing it in a hardcore way, but I cheer you for pursuing it.

I did it. I pulled a back-to-back yoga--last night and this morning. I am still alive and holding on.
