Goodbye, LaVanda

Comments:
sniff, sniff.
sorry Capt'n and mrs. the capt'n.

A few highlights from our 9 happy years with the van:
-It started out as the Cypher in the Snow touring van. Immediately discovered to be too small for a 7-piece band, so several cars usually came along, too. Worth it still, in my opinion, since I purchased it for $450.
-X-cuntry road trip, me & Dick Blu, Cali-Ohio-Cali, in '98. (or '99?)
-Used as the moving van, San Francisco->San Diego, San Diego->LA.
-Countless trips up and down the California coast.
-Many happy times at the drive-in with people like Sean Griffin and Gree C Hair.
-Countless happy times with Griffin, Androux Infanti, Dick Blue and I during their dark days in music grad school, including the time we were nearly decapitated by Mrs. Griffin's harp that we didn't tie down to the loft, on the way to his and Dick's extremely ragged xmas gig in La Jolla.
-It's entire tenure as the Team Shredder surf wagon. Many a time did Sea Monkey and I drive around the coast of San Diego, looking for the face of god, aka the mad rides. Somewhere along the way, we found brotherhood.

Peeds, I had actual tears in my eyes when it had to go. I've always been sentimental, but it's gotten way worse.

Capt'n, so sorry about La Vanda.
That really sux. Sounds like she served you well my friend.

It always helps to look to the future;
What's the replacment wheels? something Hottttt?

you'de look good in an gold station wagon like the Brady's had

Mary, that's some kinda hot chick magnet. I regret her passing.
Best Regards,
Your friends and family at the Gaylord.

Oh I have so much to say and so much love to give to that van, Cap'n. I feel that we covered it quite thoroughly via text message. By the way, in my annual cruise of the blogs, I am thunderstruck by the art of the surfer choads as uncovered by dick blew. I gotta get outta work before--well it's a long story. I love that van more than anything else on earth that is a car. you done good, cap'n, you done good.

what????? where did the la vanda go. So sorry, capt'n. xox
