An Interesting Show, Sho Enuf

2/3 of Team Shredder + Gaylord + her laday Marina + Ms. Dunye all had to pile in Gaylord and Marina's renta car and head on over to Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions in Hollywood, where we were treated to an xtrvaganza of art and things otherwise known as Shared Women, a group show curated by A.L. Steiner, Emily Roysdon, and Eve Fowler.
Sadly, The Capt'n did not personally get to view and experience every piece in the big show, as she had too much social overstimulation with which to contend. But she did get down with some great shit nonetheless, her favorites being Jeanine Oleson's World's Biggest Smudge Stick, the G.B. Jones drawings, A.L. Steiner's photo installache, and all of Nicole Eisenman's works, including this one.--->
I mean, there's no getting around it, this is fuckin funny. We had to crack up over it like 10 times.

I miss the blogs when I stay away for a week! Dag. I'll try to be up on it more often. We've had a lot of great people staying at our house lately and I get real distracted real easily.

ps gandi, thanks for the emma goldman video. It was very exciting.

Blogger forced me to "upgrade" to the new format and I resent it.

capt'n I'm so sad I didn't go, I heard it was fun town. Thanks for posting my silly picture.

sure sounds like fun and I wish I was there to see the show. This drawing cracked me up to no end when I saw it too. I do miss the worlds largest smudge stick here in the studio but if it means J gets a picture in the Guinness book of world records next to that really tall guy that would be beyond exciting and I feel like the Guinness book people throw a good party.

it's true- fists to the wall corny!

Fists to and thru the wall my friend!

Didn't laura dern play a huffer in a movie once? she's the BEST agreed.

Citizen Ruth!!! goddam I love that movie. What is inland empire? sounds Sci-fi. I'm hoplessly out of it.

its the new david lynchian concept- 248 minutes of cubist female innards and prostitutalations- shes totally amazing in it- full blum under the eye of Lynch's relaxed video cam...shall i make a T for the tot?

I'm dying to see that movie but can't find it anywhere.
Q: Did Laura Dern hit it as hard as Naomi Watts did in Mulholland Drive? Becase that was some of the best acting I've ever seen, plus she made me go gay.

interesting gandi, i will look into this Inland Empire business, in the meantime, please make a T for the tot. Tot needs a T. Will it be bedazzled or puff painted?

I've been dying to see this! Where is it playing? I cannot find. capt'n t'was good to hear your voice the other night. t-bad we couldn't meet. mizzin.
