Looks like it will be beautiful. I'm just saying.

Okay, first of all, THANKS. I am catching all sorts of flack on PaintersNYC for a small show that is isn't even in NYC! Very, funny despite the jabs.

And then Slothy gives me the heads up on this. You are such a kind and special cat, Capt'n. I am so lucky to have such good peeps around me in the ether.

Hearts and more hearts to you!!!!

capt'n, you rule my log.

BTW pd, you are faring exceptionally well on PaintersNYC, and deservedly so.

PD deserves mucho applause from all points on the reality axis. I love her work. I love her. I think we are in agreement.

Yay pd!!

I keep coming back to look at the pictures. They really are beautiful. I wish I could see them in person. Instead, I'll have to send my personal spy and trust in her ability to fully explain & convey it all in words to me, at a later date.
Anyhow, I hope the party lives up to the high standards of your work.

Geez, I am so in love with all of you.

Capt'n, I wish you can partake in our zaniness over here.

xo,
PD

I'm going to try and come to your opening by the end of it around 8pm
These paintings are beautiful and I can tell I'm going to have to see them in person

GREE C!! Would love to see you. Will you be up there anyway? I will email you my number in case you are very late and want to hook up with all of us at dinner.

Capt'n: I want to respond to your comment on HAA. YOU are smart and know what you're talkin' 'bout...always, not just about art. I was just talking last night to the peeps about your early morning surf post of last week.

Oh pd, you are kind. It's cool. I'm just sayin' I don't often have the ability to externalize the internal feelin's of excitement that the paintings can sometimes give to me.
But more interestingly, whoa! Surf report says NW swell bringing waves of 5-7 feet at 10 second intervals this afternoon! That means the point will be up! 6 knots of wind, which is a bit of a pain but not a total dick blow. If I make sure Sea Monkey is awake by noon, perhaps she'll be able to go out with me by 5:00...

i just found this. pd, i love these!

Thanks w.w.

Hey Capt'n--I know what you mean. I prefer to say less and feel more.

How'd you fare with the waves?? More importantly, how'd you fare getting Sea Monkey outta bed???

Seamonkee, is it really you? Gotta be with such poetry! Thank you...and thanks to Capn' Crunch, and Cocoa Puffs. Not to mention Trix. Bring on the cotton candy--it is sticky and sweet and causes my tummy to swell. This is the reward for the hard work. Who moved my paradigm, by the way?

Hope you are high atop a wave.

Sea Monkey and I went out there and it was crazy hectic. Two different swells, Northwest and Southwest, waves breaking all over the place, and changing up a lot, unpredictably. Plus there was a strong sideways shore current. We'd think we were paddling straight out through the mess, and then we'd turn and look toward the beach and see that we were being swept to the south, fast. Before we went out, as we were looking at the mess, we told eachother that today was just about getting wet, no other expectations. Next time will seem easy compared to this, I hope.

I am groping myself with hammer hands because I wish you lived here so bad. I know, the waves, and that is compelling but anyway doesn't your black kitty need my black kitty? I think so. I have one, he is crazy his name is Timmy. We are not alike, I swear. Rock the waves while you can, Team S, because the magnets will pull you this way some day.

Mo' Bruno. Mo' Bruno. Mo' Bruno. Excellent, O Capt'n. How excellent you are and this is.

Thanks, HAA. It takes one excellent to know another.

Mountain Man, yes, our black kitty does need your black kitty, Timmy. And the magnets may pull us there some day, it's true. It may only be a matter of time.

Capt'n: Alls I can say is you got some special peeps (and so do I). Gree C came to the opening and we were so excited to hang with her.

Tho I wish you were here...my incredible ether friends provided a protective force field around me through the night.

xxoo,
Peeds

The triumph of having the excellent peeps around cannot be matched, pd, and I'm so glad you lived it last night.

Capt'n, are you riding the waves yet? I am riding a mild hangover wave...but it feels oddly good. All I want to do now is dance, dance, dance.

No, pd, sadly, no. The surf has been kinda fucked up lately. Chopped up, chaotic, crumbly waves, weird currents and too much wind. Today may not be much better...but I'll go look, at least. You never know.
In the meantime, we'll have to make due with your hangover. Tell me more about it. And tell me more about what caused it.

I was high on smart, funny, beautiful people! Only you and the Team were missing. I have a few more snippets on my blog post. But let's just say I went to sleep early this morning with images of women dancing on car hoods.

I don't want you surfing when the waves are acting weird, ya hear? I know you are experienced, but we want you in tip-top condition.

..and the kitty needs you.

Aye aye Peeds, I'll be very careful and picky with the waves. I ain't that experienced, let me tell you.
But more interestingly, can you please explain to me this "women dancing on car hoods" phenom? I have not yet had my 50 x daily check in with Gree C.
Must step out with the Mrs. to the Farmer's market for a quickie. It's only 2 blocks away...we'll be right back.

Yo. After the the icky sorority girls from Anus Kappa Ew showed up and tainted the dance floor, we all left. On the way back to the cars, MM decided a Tawny Kitaen moment was in order. If you don't know her...she was featured, high-haired, humping the hood of a car in a Whitesnake video in the 80s. So Mm and Gree C. did it up real good on Gree C's hood.
We were causing a small town disturbance.

I am looking forward to some nitrates in the form of bbq meat today. Did they have any nitrates at the farmer's market? Hi to the Mrs.

I didn't see any nitrates on the hippy meats, pdelli, sorry. But the Rockabilly choads were selling peaches, and nowhere on their booth did I see the magic word, ORGANIC.
We're back, triumphantly, with flowers, coffee, fruits, and cookies for Sea Monkey.
I don't suppose anybody had a camera phone with them last night during MM and Gree C's reenactment of the Whitesnake video...?
